Lots is happening in and around our quaint corner of Silicon Valley, and keeping up is half the battle. To make your holidays a little less stressful and a little more jolly, I have organized a list of events and activities going on in Los Gatos this holiday season. Below you will two lists – one with unique holiday events by date and a separate list of ongoing events. These lists do not include religious services, so please check your preferred place of prayer for those schedules.
Here’s the rundown on carriage rides, the Fantasy of Lights, the tree lighting ceremony, the Los Gatos holiday parade, and more:
Saturday August 12th and Sunday August 13th mark the return of the Fiesta de Artes Los Gatos, Art & Wine Festival, the only Art & Wine Festival in town all year! This has been a Los Gatos tradition for decades, two in fact, with 2016 as the 20th anniversary of the event sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
What happens at the Fiesta de Artes?
Think food & drink, art & shopping, dancing & socializing! Once again, there will be more than 150 vendors with a huge variety of artists and vendors displaying and selling their artwork, plus booths with food and wine and of course loads of music throughout both days. The hours are 10am to 7pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday, but music plays a little longer ending at 9pm on Saturday and starting an hour before Sunday events open.
Where is the Fiesta de Artes held?
In previous years, the festival reserved the Civic Center lawn across the street from Los Gatos High School, but this year, for the first time ever it’s a block party – North Santa Cruz Ave and the Los Gatos Town Plaza Park will be open to revelers and closed to cars! See the map below or click the map to be directed to the Fiesta De Artes page with directions on how to get there.
