How’s the Los Gatos real estate market for single family homes, condos and townhomes? Each month I update the housing stats for our corner of Silicon Valley, using the two resources listed below and often crunching some numbers from the MLS myself. https://liveinlosgatosblog.com/los-gatos-real-estate-statistics-and-market-trends/
I have two main resources for getting a better understanding of the housing market here, the RE Report and the Altos Research Report (I have subscriptions for both). I used to have these as separate pages on this site, but with the move toward mobile first browsing, it seems best to provide links from one page rather than pages and sub-pages with content. For readers using cell phones, I think this will be easier.
The Real Estate Report for Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, and San Mateo County
Here’s the RE Report link for all of Santa Clara County. From this link you can navigate to Los Gatos and view “neighborhoods” there (or Monte Sereno, Saratoga etc.). San Jose has a number of districts, as do Mountain View and Palo Alto. The default will be single family homes, but you can search condos and townhouses as well.

And here’s the link for “in town” Los Gatos (when the site is being updated, it may redirect to all of Los Gatos): Los Gatos real estate report
Something really nice about the RE Report is that you can check the realty market back about a dozen years to see how things were at another time frame – either by month, quarter, or year!
