This Saturday, November 5th 2011 from 9am to 12 noon, the town of Los Gatos is providing a prescription medication and drug disposal opportunity at the Los Gatos Parks and Public Works Service Center (41 Miles Avenue, Los Gatos 95030). This free service is available to the Los Gatos and Monte Sereno residents and employees only.
Most of us have old medicines that are either no longer needed or which have exceeded their “use by” date. This is a great excuse to go through your medicine cabinet and find them and get them disposed of properly. (Please do not throw out in your garbage or flush down the toilet as eventually these drugs can find their way into the waters of the San Francisco Bay or other waterways and adds to the pollution troubles we experience.)
