Each year the Rotary Club of Los Gatos hosts an “all you can eat” crab feed and auction, the proceeds of which benefit the Los Gatos Charities Foundation. The 2023 event is Saturday, Feb 4, starting at 5 pm at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 13601 Saratoga Ave, Saratoga, CA 95070.
Benefits:
- Los Gatos Rotary Charities Foundation
- Provides grants for local and international non-profits
- Fund the Need: Project RACHEL – Literacy for Kids in Guatemala
Food Served:
- Crab, Crab, Crab, Crab
- Soup (vegetarian), Salad, Bread
- Pasta (vegetarian)
- Dessert
In addition to crab, there will also be pasta. Beer & wine may be purchased too.

The cost is $90 for adults, $40 for kids aged 6-12 (5 and under are free).

The annual Thanksgiving Interfaith Service is a longstanding holiday tradition here in Los Gatos, and this year it’s both in person and virtual.

A charity or worthy cause is always supported at these events. In the past they’ve included food and clothing drives as well as cash. This year’s recipient is Recovery Café – more on that below.
This lovely event is organized by the Los Gatos Interfaith Clergy Association. All are welcome!
Recovery Café
The worthy cause being supported this year is Recovery Café. There will be a message shared about the vital work that they do during the service. Donations can be given in person or online. Here’s the link to donate to them. It’s not too early to chip in!
“A healing community for those traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges.”

If you’ve been enjoying any of Los Gatos’ many free musical series this summer, consider taking a trip next door to Saratoga this weekend! This Sunday, August 27th is the annual Saratoga Summer Music Series from 1pm – 7pm at Wildwood Park, just off the downtown strip.
Featuring live performances by local bands Aly & Friends, The Complications, and The Megatones. Kick back and relax on the lawn or dance through the day! Food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase in the park, and picnics are also welcome. While the annual CrabFest is postponed another year, the Rotary Club of Los Gatos is continuing a new tradition with their 2nd annual Virtual WineFest & Auction! Save the date for Saturday, January 29th at 5pm!
This year’s event centers around gourmet bites and Argentinian wines (or try the non-alcoholic selection) guided by sommelier Joe Chiodo. Tickets include a Wine Tasting Kit for 2 with curbside pick-up from Rootstock Wine Bar prior to the event. Evening entertainment includes a live performance by Lavender Fields.
And as always, the main event is the charity auction! Proceeds benefit the Rotary Charities foundations, and this year the “Raise the Paddle” auction item benefits Los Gatos House of Hope, West Valley Community Services, and Peninsula Food Runners to help fight hunger and food insecurity locally.
