The Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival: there's still time to see some shows!

August 06, 2012

Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival at Oak Meadow ParkOne of the best elements of summer in Los Gatos is the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival, which is now underway with its 11th season at Oak Meadow Park. The season is winding to a close soon but it’s not too late! A few shows still remain to be enjoyed under the stars.

Featured this year are The Two Gentlemen of Verona (next show Friday Aug 10th 2012), Romeo and Juliet (next show August 11th 2012)and the more contemporary Alice in Wonderland (next show August 9th 2012) .

The season runs through August 11. All shows begin at 8pm and are under the stars (so dress in layers as our evenings can get chilly). Tickets are affordably priced at $22 each but there are discounts for seniors (60 and over are $15) and youths (17 and younger – also $15), as well as for groups. They can be purchased online or over the phone using a major credit card, or by mail with a check.

Finally, the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival can be found on Facebook now, too, and it’s easy to donate there if you’d like to help support the arts in town!

This is one of my favorite things to enjoy in Los Gatos and I can’t wait for it to start. Hope to see you there!
