And Then They Came for Me is a unique theatrical experience: a multimedia play that combines videotaped interviews with two childhood friends of Anne Frank and their Holocaust experiences with live actors recreating scenes from their lives during World War II. Part oral history, part dramatic action, part direct address, part remembrance, this production is like a historic newsreel brought to life on the stage. This is what live theatre does especially well–moving a big subject like the Holocaust into the realm of personal understanding and connection. It will open your heart with curiosity and compassion.

Don’t miss this stirring presentation by the LGHS Wildcat Theatre!

The Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival Returns!

Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival

It’s back! Every summer, the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival returns to Oak Meadow Park in Los Gatos for a wonderful but very quick season with three shows in four weeks, two by William Shakespeare and one by a more contemporary playwright.

All shows begin at 8pm so layer up and bring a blanket as the nights cool down significantly.

For the 2015 season, through weekends of July 17th to August 8th, these plays will be performed:

The Tempest

Pericles

The Adventures of Cyrano!

There will also be an Opera Night with the Lyric Theatre and a Fight Night fundraiser evening performance, information listed under the special events page.

Get all the details at http://www.fteshakes.org/los-gatos/

Additionally, prior to their Los Gatos opening, there are shows at the Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale, which are more affordable and sometimes slightly earlier.  This series, runs the same shows from May 30 to June 27th with curtain times at 7:30pm or 8pm. There will be a special show, Fight for the Farm with stage combat demonstrations to benefit the Full Circle Farm. Learn more at http://www.fteshakes.org/sunnyvale/
