West Valley Youth Theater is the new name for Los Gatos Youth Theatre, and the new name reflects the expanded reach to more communities nearby.
West Valley Youth Theater Presents The Lightning Thief, the Percy Jackson Musical and RENT
The Lightning Thief, the Percy Jackson Musical is recommended for audiences of all ages. RENT is recommended for audiences 13 yrs old and up. There are two casts per show. Performances will take place at Leigh High School’s Performing Arts Center.
The REPRISE production (performers aged 9-15):
WVYT Presents The Lightning Thief, the Percy Jackson Musical. This adaptation of the best-selling novel by Rick Riordan is an action-packed, mythical adventure for all ages featuring a thrilling original rock score. Percy Jackson has newly discovered powers he can’t control, monsters on his trail, and is on a quest to find Zeus’ lightning bolt to prevent a war between the Greek gods. Come join in the adventure!

West Valley Youth Theater’s Grand Finale this summer will be RENT
Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. Based on Puccini’s beloved opera La Bohème, Rent follows the ups and downs of a year in the life of a group of impoverished, artistic friends whose dreams, losses, and love stories weave through the musical’s narration to paint a stunningly raw and emotional portrait of the gritty bohemian world of New York City in the late 1980s, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
