On January 1st, 2012, the city of San Jose banned plastic bags and free paper bags at grocery stores. Los Gatos and Monte Sereno appear poised to follow suit.
“The West Valley Solid Waste Management Authority, which represents Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell and Monte Sereno, will meet on Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. to discuss the paper/plastic bag issue.”
